KIM RODRIGUES has provided support to families and individuals living with Autism Spectrum Disorder in Central West Region for over 15 years and is well informed and experienced in matters of crisis intervention, psychosocial rehabilitation and volunteer management. Kim brings a rich background in the non‐profit sector to the work of TorchLight. Thank you Kim for choosing TorchLight to share your gifts and talents.

 TAMMI WINCHESTER was welcomed to the board in August 2016 and quickly assumed the role of co-chair. Tammi comes to us with over twenty years of contact centre experience with Johnson and Johnson. Her business acumen and strategic visioning is a welcome addition to the board.  

ALYSHA LETOURNEAU is currently a student at the University of Guelph working to complete her BA in International Development with an area of emphasis in Gender and Development. Alysha joined the Board of Directors on an acting basis in December 2015 and was officially appointed at the AGM in August 2016. From November 2014 to June 2015, Alysha participated in the Youth on Board program where she was mentored by a member of the Board of Family and Children Services of Guelph and Wellington to learn about board governance. Alysha continues to remain involved with this organization as a member of the Service Excellence and Accountability committee. Alysha brings this governance experience to the Board of TorchLight and is looking forward to her involvement throughout the upcoming term. 

FRANK RICCI is General Manager of Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada (TMMC) responsible for Human Resources in both the Cambridge and Woodstock Plants. Since joining Toyota in 1989, he has held a range of positions within the Human Resources Department and was recently promoted to General Manager effective February 1, 2016.

Frank holds a B Comm. from the University of Guelph and resides in Guelph with his family.

LARRY LICHTY joined the Board of Directors of TorchLight in the operating year of 2012‐2013 and has  contributed his wealth of experience in Human Resources to our agency. In his more than 30 years in the field, Larry has perfected the knowledge he is able to share with TorchLight as we enhance and enrich our delivery of service. Larry has expressed his enjoyment in working with the members of our Board of Directors and during this current year, with having the opportunity to interface with both staff and volunteers, as we collaborate in our efforts to grow and develop our agency.

TARUN MANCHANDA is a project and program management professional, specializing in strategy and consulting. He has an Honours Bachelor of Commerce, graduating with distinction in 2011 from University of Toronto; and has since pursued his MBA at Queen’s Smith School of Business, graduating in 2018. Tarun was officially appointed by the AGM in September 2017, and is looking forward to contribute his experience and business knowledge to TorchiLight Canada.

MANDI MCCREARY  is an Autism Consultant who provides support to families in Guelph and Wellington Region. She is passionate about helping others and giving back to the community. Mandi was officially welcomed to the Board in September 2017. Mandi resides in Guelph with her family.

DENISE TYNAN moved to Canada from the UK, where she had enjoyed a successful career in retail management and buying.  She obtained her LLB from York University and was called to the bar of Ontario in 2002. Denise’s legal experience includes insurance, corporate commercial and compliance law both in the for profit and not for profit industries. Since 2014 Denise has been a member of Hospice Toronto’s Governance Committee and recently joined its board.

As Manager of TeleCheck at TorchLight, I am proud of our continuing and expanding legacy of caring. It is the essence of our commitment to our members and callers.  It is my sincere privilege to be part of the TorchLight team and to work side‐by‐side every day with dedicated volunteers and staff as we engage with people who desire a life of connection and fulfillment.

Judith Rosenberg, Community Development and Recruitment Coordinator

Judith seeks to generate new capacity to attract a diverse volunteer demographic including university students who seek applied skill building opportunities and work experience, active retirees who wish to share their skills and knowledge, and working adults who care about their community and wish to give back through helping and reaching out to others.

Judith’s passion and commitment to TorchLight is evident in her interactions with community groups and organizations; in building connections and identifying opportunities for collaborations and partnerships. Judith has expressed her pride in becoming a member of our TorchLight team.
